Charleston In Between is back – and this time, we’re going hybrid with a European debut! Join us on July 8-9, 2025, for the first-ever hybrid edition of our dynamic mid-year event, designed to bridge the conversations between Charleston Conferences. This year, we’re offering a small, in-person gathering in Berlin, Germany, alongside robust virtual participation options to connect our global community of academic librarians, scholarly publishers, and information professionals.

Charleston In Between 2025 will tackle some of the most pressing issues facing knowledge sharing today, including:

• Libraries Under Fire: Defending Scholarship in a Time of Political Pressure - Understanding and addressing the escalating attacks on libraries, government censorship, and the fight for intellectual freedom in the US and how it is changing the research ecosystem worldwide.
